City of Aurora – Solar Permit Offset and Energy Audit Rebate;

  • Amount: The entire City of Aurora solar installation permit fee, which is up to $500 for residential properties and $1,000 for commercial properties, is eligible. Both the initial solar installation permit fee and the first plan review fee are eligible.
  • Residential energy audit: $90 Commercial energy assessment: $200-$300
  • Maximum Incentive: Residential solar system permit: $500
  • Commercial solar system permit: $1,000
  • Residential energy audit: $90
  • Commercial energy assessment: 300
  • Equipment Requirements: Only solar electric (PV) and solar hot water heat systems installation permit fees are eligible.
  • Properties must receive an energy audit from Xcel Energy prior to receipt of solar installation permit.
  • Addresses will be verified. Any property owner with a project address outside of Aurora city limits will be denied a rebate.
