  • Amount: Solar PV: Residential and Commercial $4/watt (DC)
  • Solar PV: Governmental $8/watt (DC)
  • Maximum Incentive: Solar PV: Residential – Up to 50% of the project costs or $15,000 (whichever is lower)
  • Solar PV: Commercial – Up to 50% of the project costs or $100,000 (whichever is lower)
  • Solar PV: Governmental – $100,000
  • Eligible System Size: Solar PV: >= 2 kW (DC)
  • Equipment Requirements: All equipment must be new and carry a minimum 5-year warranty and comply with the Energy Affairs Administration regulations. The equipment must be permanently installed for a period of at least ten years. For government installations, the equipment must comply with the “Buy American” provisions.
  • Installation Requirements: Must be installed by certified installers (by the Energy Affairs Administration) and comply with PREPA interconnection and net metering regulations.
  • Funding Source: The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) State Energy Program (SEP)
  • Program Budget: $6.5 million
  • Program Start Date: 01/01/2010
  • Program Expiration Date: 09/30/2010
