  • Eligible Renewable/Other Technologies: Photovoltaics, Wind, Geothermal Heat Pumps, Photovoltaics as part of a hybrid system

  • Amount: PV and small wind: $2,000 per installed kW DC
  • Geothermal heat pumps: $2,000 per installed ton
  • Maximum Incentive: $10,000 or 50% of project costs, whichever is less
  • Eligible System Size: PV and small wind: 20kW DC.
  • Geothermal heat pumps: 5.5 tons
  • Equipment Requirements: None specified
  • Installation Requirements: Installers are required to abide with the Davis Bacon (wage) requirements
  • Grid-tied or off-grid are allowed
  • Ownership of Renewable Energy Credits: Remain with system owner
  • Funding Source: EXXON funds, and ARRA funds
  • Program Budget: $2.5 million through 6/30/2012 — see introductory note in the summary below
  • Program Start Date: July 1996
  • Program Expiration Date: Program accepts applications in early June each year
